Shop this Look: The Black Turtleneck

If you are going to buy one thing this fall, let it be a black turtleneck. There are endless ways that you can style this basic (not boring) piece of clothing.

In theory, you should only need one black turtleneck to go with everything, and this is partially true – however knowing this classic look can take you from day to night all winter long, I recommend stocking up on a couple of different versions and here’s why.

What looks more chic than a turtleneck on it’s own? A turtleneck layered under a blazer or coat. To achieve a great layered looked and still remain comfortable, you will want to find a turtleneck that has a lighter weight to it, almost as if it’s a t-shirt, that way you won’t end up looking and feeling too bulky all day long.

And for those days that you just want to rock it on it’s own like I did here, opt for something that feels a little more cozy like cashmere or wool.
